We make every reasonable effort to ensure that all product descriptions, specifications, dimensions, materials, pricing, and images displayed on our website are accurate and up to date at the time of publication. However, we do not warrant that product descriptions are entirely free from error at all times. If we discover a material error in a product listing, we will correct it promptly and, where the error has affected an existing order, we will contact you to discuss the impact on your order.

Product images are representative samples. Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, natural material variation (such as wood grain patterns and anodising colour variation between production batches) is expected and does not constitute a product defect. Please refer to our Disclaimer for full details on product description limitations.

How Orders Are Placed and Confirmed

Placing an order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products at the stated price. An order is not confirmed — and a binding contract for sale is not formed — until we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline any order for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • A product being out of stock or unavailable at the time of order.
  • An obviously incorrect price listed due to a typographical or technical error.
  • Payment being declined or not successfully verified.
  • The shipping address being located outside the United States or Canada.
  • Reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent activity or misuse of our website.

If we decline an order after payment has been collected, we will issue a full refund to the original payment method within 5 business days and notify you by email with an explanation.

Product Compatibility

It is your sole responsibility to verify that any product you purchase is compatible with your specific fishing reel model, year, and configuration before placing your order. We provide compatibility information in good faith, but we cannot guarantee that manufacturer specifications have not changed. Custom & Handcrafted Orders

Many of our products are custom-made and handcrafted to your specifications. Custom orders are subject to the following specific terms in addition to all other provisions of these Terms of Service.

Customer Responsibility for Specifications
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any customisation specifications you submit with your order, including handle length, knob style, material selection, thread size, colour, and finish.
  • If you submit incorrect specifications and we manufacture the product precisely to those specifications, the resulting product does not qualify as defective. We will not accept a return or issue a refund in this circumstance unless the product materially differs from the confirmed specifications.
  • If you are unsure about any specification, please contact us before placing your order. We are happy to advise on compatibility and product configuration at no charge.
Natural Material Variation

Products made from natural materials such as wood, cork, or composite materials will display individual variation in grain pattern, colour, and texture. This variation is a characteristic of handcrafted goods made from natural materials and does not constitute a defect. Slight colour variation in anodised components between production batches is also inherent in the anodising process and is not a defect.

Production Lead Times

Custom and made-to-order products require additional production time before they are shipped. Estimated production lead times are displayed on the relevant product listing page. These estimates are provided in good faith and are subject to workshop capacity and material availability. We are not liable for any losses arising from production or shipping delays beyond our reasonable control. If a significant delay occurs, we will notify you promptly by email.

Quality Assurance
Every product we ship is individually inspected before dispatch. If your product arrives with a genuine manufacturing defect — meaning it materially differs from the confirmed specifications or has a structural fault — please contact us within 14 days of delivery at coopercustomreels@gmail.com and we will resolve the issue promptly.

Pricing & Payment

Pricing

All prices displayed on our website are in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise clearly stated. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes and shipping costs, which are calculated and displayed during checkout before you confirm and pay for your order. The final price you see at checkout — including all applicable taxes and shipping fees — is the total amount that will be charged to your payment method. No additional charges will be applied after checkout confirmation.

We reserve the right to change product prices at any time without prior notice. Price changes will not apply retroactively to orders that have already been confirmed. In the event of an obvious pricing error (such as a product listed at a significantly incorrect price due to a typographical or system error), we reserve the right to cancel affected orders with a full refund and prompt notification to the customer.

Taxes & Duties

Canadian Orders: Applicable Canadian taxes (including GST/HST/PST, as applicable in your province or territory) are calculated and displayed during checkout. Canadian customers are responsible for any import duties, brokerage fees, or additional customs charges that may be assessed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) upon import. We ship all orders from our facility in Rochester, New York, United States. We ship exclusively to the United States and Canada. We do not ship internationally to any other country. Important Shipping Notes
Transit times are estimates provided by shipping carriers and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for shipping delays caused by carriers, weather events, natural disasters, or customs processing. Once an order has been dispatched, title and risk of loss pass to you. For Canadian orders, customs duties, brokerage fees, and import taxes are the sole responsibility of the customer. Order Cancellations

Customer-Initiated Cancellations

Because many of our products are custom-made and made to order, your ability to cancel an order depends on when the cancellation request is received relative to the stage of production:
